Why we built Trackity
Our frustration is your frustration.
Because of iOS updates and the amount of ad blockers, a large part of the actual spend of every order can not be tracked.
The inaccuracy was not small change.
It sometimes even accounted for up to one third of the actual order value for orders generated by tracked ads that were being tracked "inaccurately".
The difference between the numbers in your dashboard and the amount of money that actually has been paid from your customers can be huge. It can cause you to cut budget on a campaign that is really performing but continue to spend a lot of money on a campaign that looks good in your dashboard but is actually pulling a very bad return on investment. We have seen many large 5 and 6 figure decisions be made based on the data that everyone believed to be correct but was in reality not verifiable.
Many server-side solutions for tracking have been introduced on the market. However, these solutions typically require a large amount of work from a developer to set up a tracking server. The pixel tracking on the client-side is well known and often deteriorates quickly. This creates a lot of problems for online shops, who don't have the time or knowledge to deal with the tracking issues of their (often expensive) tool. In the end, the online shop is left in the dark on how their shop is actually performing.
Trackity is the tool we wish we had already. We combined the best of server-side and client-side tracking. All data is reconciled in 1 de-duplicated data source. This tool is easy to install on your Shopify and WooCommerce webshop within 5 minutes. No code required. No developer required.
